Con vana confianza había fundado
tan grandes edificios que han caído,
mirándolos estoy, y estoy corrido,
mas qué hay que no merezca un confiado.
¿Quién sino yo se hallara tan osado
que confiara en verse bien querido
de femenino amor? que al fin ha sido
lo más vario de todo lo criado.
Avisoos desde ahora, o amadores,
los que de amor estáis algo contentos,
que en mi cabeza estéis escarmentados.
Pues veis que al mejor tiempo, y sin sabores
me ha de venir amor con mil tormentos,
estando mis sentidos descuidados.
