Soneto

Clarísimo Marqués, en quien depende
de su poder el cielo larga muestra,
honor de juventud, guía que adiestra
a cuanto bien de Dios acá se extiende.

Por el fuego amoroso que así enciende
de la divina Clori, el alma vuestra
que recibáis por vuestro a quien os muestra
que no tiene otro bien ni lo pretende.

El alma ya os la di desde aquel día
que vi partes en vos de tanto gusto,
que no me fue posible defendella.

Lo que pido es que esta alma que fue mía
y es vuestra ya con título tan justo,
que la estiméis, pues que moráis en ella.
