Señor, a eterno ayuno me dedico,
no llegue para mí opulento el día,
si yo no puedo ser por otra vía,
que por litigio, y tribunales rico.

Por aquella piedad te lo suplico,
con que abreviando en la flaqueza mía,
siendo la voz, que tierra y cielos cría,
temiste de la voz de un juez inico.

¿Cuán saca la bellísima inocencia,
aun cuando el juez le da la mano amiga
de las uñas causídicas el gesto?

¡Oh siglo, siervo de servil paciencia!
¿Cuál bruto, cuál frenético litiga,
si puede hacer, que lo condenen presto?
