Corneja que vestiste ajenas plumas,
ganso que le usurpaste al cisne el canto,
cuervo cuyo graznar anuncia llanto,
voz que siendo de Arcadia suena en Cumas;

como hendrija de pipa te rezumas,
el rebozo destapa, quita el manto,
ingenio de almofrex de cal y canto,
ligero como plomo en las espumas;

que dejes de enredar más el urdimbre
de parte de las Musas te conjuro,
antes que el bello Apolo te confunda.

No mezcles nuestro abril con tu diciembre;
si no, por el Estigio lago juro
que el verdugo te dé una brava tunda.
