Señor, que miras de tu excelsa cumbre
el tiempo todo en un presente eterno,
tu imagen mira en mí, que al ciego infierno
la inclina su terrena pesadumbre.

Oh suma luz, ya la encendida lumbre
de mi gozoso abril florido y tierno
muere, y ya temo ver en el invierno
más verde la raíz de mi costumbre.

Mírala, sacro santo Rey divino,
con ojos de piedad, que al dulce encuentro
del rayo celestial verás volvella

a verte, como en vidrio cristalino
la imagen mira el que se espeja dentro,
y está en su vista de él su mirar de ella.
