Naces, oh infante, en honra no entendida
ni sujeta al arbitrio de la suerte,
pues, en fe de que a Dios plugo escogerte
para que a la Asia libres oprimida.

Como otra esfera celestial movida
tu augusta madre por virtud más fuerte,
cuando la vida se escondió en la muerte,
te pone en los umbrales de la vida.

Por tu cetro verá fieles cultores
el gran sepulcro, y cobrará su gloria
el sacro imperio, ahora profanado.

Crece pues, no te usurpe la victoria
tu padre, a sus designios obligado,
y tú de generosa envidia, llores.
