Bástale al día su malicia, Fabio;
quiebra esa esfera, en cuya industria sales
a recibir los venideros males,
dos veces ofendido de un agravio.

De los vidrios soberbios en que un sabio
copió los movimientos celestiales,
Júpiter se rió; que sus fatales
causas no las infunde el astrolabio.

Pero dirás que en él te da noticia,
para que, apercibido, las estorbes,
porque flechas previstas menos hieren.

Vive tú a la razón y a la justicia,
y caigan rotos los celestes orbes;
que no los temerás cuando cayeren.
