Si conoces tus menguas, no te adules,
Cedro, a ti mismo, y eso que nos dices,
dilo allá a los que alquilan sus cervices
para mudar bufetes y baúles.

Que ya tus gracias, cuanto más las pules,
se arrojan en tu voz más infelices
que excrementicio humor por las narices
sobre esas canas pálidas y azules.

Si a las fuerzas penúltimas que guardas
para que el paso juvenil prosigan,
ignoras el honor que les ofreces;

caballos con su ejemplo te lo digan,
que ostentaron bozales y jaeces,
y ahora rozan jáquimas y albardas.
