De tu ganado y choza descuidado
te veo Blas andar triste y penoso,
por el áspero monte, y bosque umbroso
huyendo de las gentes y poblado.
No te deleita ya el florido prado,
ni el trato pastoril te es ya gozoso,
ni en nada de placer hayas reposo,
el sólo imaginarte descansado.
Te quejas de la muerte y su tardanza,
diciendo que es morir un gran contento
al que de vida no tiene esperanza.
Sólo un remedio mi buen juicio alcanza
si no quieres tener mal pensamiento,
olvida Blas si puedes a Constanza.
