Soneto con estrambote

Haz un soneto que levante el vuelo
sobre el Cáucaso, monte inaccesible,
de estilo generoso y apacible,
lleno de variedad de Cipro y Delo.

Con perlas, ámbar, oro, grana y yelo
(nieve quise decir, no fue posible):
no sea lo esencial inteligible,
pues que no ha de faltarle un Velutelo.

Luego que este soneto se concluya
cuenta el caudal; si ves que ha mejorado,
bueno será, pues hizo algún efecto.

Mas si, por mi desgracia y por la tuya,
no hallas un bayoco mejorado,
¿para qué será bueno este soneto?

Aunque yo te prometo
que sé para qué es bueno el cuitadillo;
pero tengo vergüenza de decillo.
Si quieres conferillo
sin la pasión de padre, allá en tu seno,
tú sabrás, como yo, para qué es bueno
