En abismos poner los fundamentos
de la ancha tierra y, cual pequeño velo,
hacer los aires, y formar el cielo
y estrellas, con diversos movimientos;

dar ley al mar y reprimir los vientos,
juntar conformes el calor y el hielo,
con providencia y con eterno celo
crecer vivientes plantas y elementos.

Señor, a tu poder muy poco ha sido;
mas que Tú, Dios; que Tú, Criador, quisieses
nacer hombre y morir por quien te ofende,

tanto a tus maravillas ha excedido,
que no lo sé decir, basta que fueses
el que lo hizo, y sólo el que lo entiende.
