para mayor martirio suficiente;

y a quien tú visitaste en el silencio
de la noche, y con fuego examinaste,
ardiendo el alma en otro más ardiente.

Recibe este mi espíritu inocente,
y tú, tirano, cruel, cruel Ceraste,
resuelve y come de este lado abierto,
y da sepulcro vivo a nuestro cuerpo.
