Ya resplandece en mí como nativa,
Laura, tu candidez, no como ajena;
que el indómito afecto me serena,
y sus errores generosa y viva,

así del claro Pólux se deriva
la que sosiega el mar y el euro enfrena,
para que del honor fraterno llena,
el tenebroso Cástor la reciba.

En virtud pues de amor tan noble y fuerte,
que, a pesar de acechanzas naturales,
lo más terreno en celestial convierte,

preciémonos de amantes celestiales;
no reconozca al tiempo ni a la suerte
la unión de dos sustancia sin mortales.
