Viviente polvo, inspiración divina,
Damasceno elemento organizado,
semejanza de impulso consagrado,
fin de la obra santa y peregrina.

Materia general de la oficina
del Artífice grande cuyo estado
forma gozó de Angélico traslado,
aliento de tu esfera cristalina.

En la gran creación fuiste el primero;
en la Ciencia Sagrada, sin segundo,
y en esta parte te hallaré postrero.

¡Oh precepto de amor! En ti me fundo,
pues por creerse el hombre de ligero
el ámbito perdió de todo el mundo.
