cisne de pino en fábrica espantosa?
¿Qué Bitácora rara, y poderosa,
descubre el Norte en líneas de diamante?

¿Quién tu velamen rige proceloso?
¡Quién el timón de leño más valiente,
imán de tanto piélago ambicioso?

¡Mas ay! Varón perfecto y excelente,
si te guía impulso poderoso,
¿cómo se ha de alterar ningún tridente?
