Querer amar y ser aborrecida
no es amor, es desaire del objeto,
que amor no puede ser acto perfecto,
siendo en potencia bárbaro homicida.

Yo adoro a quien adoro, si a mi vida
(cuando el ara se ofrece del precepto)
no estima su lealtad ni su concepto,
dando su adoración por fe perdida.

Mas, ay amor cruel, en vano quieres
romper los privilegios y los nombres
que con vosotras brevemente adquieres.

Si publicare el mío no te asombres,
que aun a coata del alma, las mujeres
hacemos mentirosos a los hombres.
